    Day 1:Day 1: Arrival in Errachidia Merzouga Desert

    Your 3 day Merzouga desert tour starts with a pickup from Errachidia ERH airport or your accommodation. From there, travel south toward the impressive Sahara dunes of Merzouga. After arrival, check in and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in Merzouga.

    Domestic flight options include flights from Marrakech operating three days per week with arrivals around 7 am or 3 pm, and daily flights from Casablanca with arrival at midnight. The itinerary can be adjusted according to your arrival time.

    Day 2:Merzouga desert exploration Nomads Khamlia Erg Chebbi

    After breakfast, spend the day exploring the Merzouga Desert and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. This area is known for its high sand dunes, seasonal desert lake, fossil zones, small mines, and green oases.

    Begin with an off road drive to an old kohl mine, followed by a visit to local nomad families living in traditional tents where you will learn about their lifestyle while sharing Berber tea. Continue to Khamlia village to enjoy authentic Gnaoua music and rhythms brought by families with origins in Mali Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch at a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, walk through a palm grove and visit the wild Merzouga lake, often called the lake of flamingos. Later, enjoy a camel ride across the dunes, stopping on a high dune to watch the sunset. Continue to the desert camp where dinner is served, followed by Berber music around the campfire under a sky full of stars. Overnight in the camp.

    Day 3: Merzouga Ait Ben Haddou Marrakech (9 hours drive)

    Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return by camel to Merzouga and meet your driver for the journey west toward Marrakech. Along the way, enjoy short stops for photos and coffee breaks before reaching Ouarzazate, where you will have free time for lunch.

    In the afternoon, continue to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its role in movies such as Gladiator Alexander and The Mummy as well as the series Game of Thrones. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n Tichka pass, enjoying panoramic views along the route. Arrival in Marrakech with drop off at your accommodation or the airport. End of the tour.
