Your journey begins with a private transfer from the airport to your hotel in Casablanca. Depending on your arrival time, we can explore iconic landmarks like the majestic Hassan II Mosque, the Morocco Mall, or the scenic beach promenade. We also include a complimentary welcome meal to start your trip on a high note.
After breakfast, we take a closer look at the Hassan II Mosque before driving to the capital city, Rabat. Here, we visit the Royal Palace, the ancient ruins of Chellah, the Mohammed V Mausoleum, and the Hassan Tower. After wandering through the historic medina and souks, we travel to Meknes. We will enjoy dinner at a local spot with views of the famous Bab el Mansour gate.
We depart Meknes to visit the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis, home to well preserved mosaics. Afterward, we continue to Fes, the spiritual heart of Morocco, where you will check into a traditional Riad for the night.
Spend the day discovering the oldest city in Morocco with a local guide. We walk through the winding alleys of the medina, visiting the Royal Palace gates and the historic Jewish Quarter (Mellah). You will see the Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, along with the famous tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After visiting local craft cooperatives, we enjoy a panoramic view of the entire city before returning to your Riad.
Our journey south takes us into the Middle Atlas Mountains. We stop in Ifrane, known for its alpine architecture, and visit the cedar forests to see the Barbary macaques. After crossing the Tiz Ntalghamt pass and driving through the Ziz Gorge, we stop in Midelt for lunch. We then follow the Ziz Valley toward Er-Rachidia and finish the day in the traditional town of Erfoud.
We head to Rissani for lunch before continuing to the Sahara Desert at Merzouga. You can relax at a hotel with a pool before we venture into the Erg Chebbi dunes. We take a walk in the sand to watch the sunset, then travel to our desert campsite. This night is spent in authentic Berber tents under the stars.
Today we explore the desert landscape in a 4×4 vehicle. We visit local caves to find natural fossils and stop at the village of Tissrdmin, a famous filming location. We cross the Black Desert to share tea with a nomadic Tuareg family and learn about their way of life. After visiting the village of Khamlia to listen to Gnawa music, we eat traditional Berber Pizza in Rissani. In the late afternoon, we ride camels into the dunes for the sunset. The night includes a Tagine dinner and traditional music around a campfire.
Merzouga to Todra and Dades Gorges Wake up early to witness a stunning desert sunrise. After breakfast at a local hotel, we travel through Tinghir to the Todra Gorge, the highest and narrowest canyon in Morocco. Following lunch, we drive through the Dades Valley to see the unique rock formations known as Monkey Toes. We spend the night in the Dades Valley.
We continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, stopping at Kalaat Mgouna in the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual flower festival. Our next stop is the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou. This ancient fortress has been featured in movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia, as well as Game of Thrones. We stay overnight in the Ouarzazate area.
Our tour moves toward the Berber town of Taroudant. This historic market town is famous for its local crafts, including silver jewelry, carpets, and pottery. Located on ancient trade routes, it is often called a smaller, quieter version of Marrakesh. You will spend the night in a charming local Riad.
We travel through the beautiful landscape of Tafraoute, a town nestled among massive granite boulders that protect it from the heat. After exploring this unique natural setting, we head to the coastal city of Agadir for the night.
We drive north along the Atlantic coast to reach Essaouira, known as the Pearl of the Atlantic. After checking into your Riad, we head to the city walls to watch a spectacular sunset. You will have time to explore the Mogador medina, a beautiful mix of blue and white buildings and Portuguese history. In the evening, enjoy a dinner of fresh local fish.
Today is yours to explore Essaouira at your own pace. The city is famous for its art, music festivals, and relaxed atmosphere. Visit the bustling fishing port to see the daily catch and choose your own seafood to be prepared for lunch. It is the perfect place for a seaside stroll or photography.
After a relaxed breakfast, we leave the coast and head inland to the vibrant city of Marrakesh. You will spend the night in a traditional Riad in the heart of the city.
Discover the highlights of the Red City with a local guide. Our tour includes the famous Jemaa el Fna square, the Koutoubia Mosque, the colorful souks, and various palaces and museums. We also visit the Menara Gardens and the beautiful Majorelle Garden in the modern Gueliz district.
On your final day, you can enjoy a relaxing morning before we depart for the return trip to Casablanca. We aim to arrive around 6 pm, marking the end of your 16 day Moroccan adventure.
